It was really hard skyping the family and close friends today; but I’m glad I could share a few minutes with them. We always spend Christmas Eve with my dad’s family in Norfolk, having soup and hanging out. And then we spend Christmas Day with my mom’s side of the family.
I am blessed I have a family and friends to miss and who misses me and loves me in return. Many foreigners here don’t have a home base or support system so this is it for them- the life that they make here is all they have. There’s no one to miss or share their experience with elsewhere. I am truly amazed by all the support system and encouragement. I thank God for all of you.
Today’s story: The Noel Candle…
I love this story, it’s so beautiful how simple how this can remind us of the true meaning of Christmas and that Christmas is in our hearts.
Ate a lovely Indian buffet for lunch with a friend, had some coffee, took a nap, and now just got a message saying there’s no plastic forks, only plastic spoons or chopsticks (and since our apartments only come furnished for one…) so please bring one! 🙂 And the directions to my friend’s place where we are making a spaghetti dinner: “Its just pass the gingerbread house, left at a baby studio lol, across froma crab. Restaurant! 304.” Gotta love it!
Cheers to A Story A Day Til Christmas! I hope you enjoyed my tidbits of humour and thought, as well as had a wonderful holiday season. May God continue to Bless You in 2012!
