“People travel to faraway places to watch, in fascination, the kind of people they ignore at home.” – Dagobert D. Runes
So true. As I stop to watch people go about their daily lives. Shopkeepers, people passing by, waiters, going about their daily lives…People watching has never been more dramatic. As I become a part of this foreign town…the people watching ceases, but a sweet moment like a dad holding his daughter’s hand as she rides her bike, the couple sitting side by side , or the coffee house host preparing the lattes for a group of sophisticated women- making sure the foam design is perfect on top, always seems to catch my eye in a foreign land or at home. I think it’s about noticing the simple people around you and appreciating those moments in everyday life and in everyday places.
